History
The story so far...
Aherial Aina Ahirale. Though referred to by most as Aina, she was one day wandering on a moonlit illuminated pathway, carefree and whistling on leaves to the wind, dancing afloat akin to weightless whispers in coruscating beams of the moon. Distracted and following without discretion, she spotted a peculiar blue petal, fully aware such an anomaly in nature is said to be non-existent. It fluttered amongst the breeze, leading the blue and pink haired doll – and yes, with doll joints and reattachble parts and all – off the travelled path. Curiosity abound, a sense of wonder emerged upon her face only to be accompanied by the subtle twitching of her ears, rapidly springing to life as she chased the petal, though it always seemed to be just out of reach. A clearing amidst the trees gave way to an opportunity for her to catch up to the petal when it landed in a crystal clear lake, still as the suddenly silent night. Shimmering light off the seemingly depthless water, despite the clarity of it, urged the doll to quickly, yet gracefully, enter the water so as not to cause ripples and perhaps dislodge the object of her attention from the lake to flutter away once more. The water was chilled to her toes being dipped in, followed by the rest of her foot and leg until she was submerged up to her waist. With careful steps, like that of a child trying to sneak cookies out of the cookie jar without alerting their guardian, she inched ever closer to the enticing ethereal leaflet. Footfall after another, she was finally in arm's reach and took it without hesitation, a big smile upon her face cascading against the mirrored image of the woman. As the petal lay in her hand, it began to glow a bright azure, illuminating all around her. The next moment it sank into her palm, and an infestation began spreading within her. Though she gladly welcomed it, she truly felt it was a non-hostile entity wishing to be safe. It was starving and dying, desperate even, though it only bonded with Aina because her subconscious gave it permission and it felt that. The fusion was taxing, and she fell to her back afloat the water, giving way to a weary sleep so the connection could be completed by the time she awakens. To be continued...
